"First time fishing with the mistress charter and the skipper Rich on Friday, booked at last minute.com.... Long time that I had fished, brother-in-law was a course Fisher & our friend John had never sea fished. Rich was very knowledgeable and very helpful for the 10 hour trip. I would recommend any person (s) wanting to give it a go to check out the useful tips and agenda for the day ahead on the website. Will definitely be booking again. Superb day."

"Pre booked with Rich for a 6 hour trip with my 16 year old son some months back, unfortunately no one else had booked for the day and it was looking like our day was going to be cancelled. However, Rich went out of his was to accommodate us and agreed to take us out on what cant have been a very commercially viable trip. Not the best of conditions weather wise but Rich worked hard to get us on the fish and within minutes my son had 3 codling before I even got my rod in the water! Over a 4 trip between us we took over 30 codling. It turned out to be a great day made more enjoyable by the enthusiasm of the skipper. Many thanks again Rich we will be booking with you again!"

"Had a day out with Rich on 8th April. In all honesty I wasn’t expecting much. It’s a difficult time of the year and I knew that a combination of dirty water and small tides was going to make life even more difficult. On the plus side it was a great forecast so I knew I’d still have a great day at sea. What I wasn’t expecting was to go home with a bag of 15 fish and that’s after chucking quite a few, around the 40cm mark, back. Rich’s knowledge of the local ground really paid off and whilst other boats steamed 20+ miles off shore we sat tight under the cliffs uptiding. A brave move at this time of the year but it definitely paid off. Great day with a great skipper. Highly recommend."

"A great boat with a great skipper. You can easily book a few trips and go from novice to competent in no time at all with Rich. He is patient and helpful with beginners and applies the same level of attention to all anglers. The hire tackle is superb (top spec Daiwa gear) and whether its wrecking or uptiding he puts you on the fish. I have caught all my personal bests on this boat and can't wait for 2018 to get properly underway. I can honestly say that if you want an introduction to Whitby boat fishing with an adaptable and highly knowledgeable skipper then this is the boat for you."
