Reviews
"We have visited a few times recently, and had a brilliant experience every time! Today we went for a roast, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Very impressed with how attentive the new manager was despite them being busy. Can’t wait to return!"
"Absolutely superb, fantastic accommodation, everything you need, beautiful decor, even a dog bed. As for the pub, it's what I call a real pub, full of character and the staff are outstanding. Would definitely stay here many times again. My sincere message to the staff, is a massive thank you"
"Stopped for lunch with friends. Good selection of drinks and great food. Classic dishes and some interesting variations too. Really good pies. Very conscientious about allergies which was great. They have GF, Vegetarian and Vegan options labelled on their menu. Parking around the back which is really handy."
"Excellent friendly staff was the first thing I noticed. Food was good, a wide menu and not large portions which is welcome for me. Just 4 stars because the beer was quite pricey, and they ran out of several of the draft beers by the end of lunchtime. So seems like a great place to eat well but not so good to drink beer."
"It's taken me a while to write this, but had to be done. We stayed overnight on our way elsewhere. Our room was exceptional. Very beautifully decorated with an eye for detail. Also a wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows. The in room refreshments are of top quality and include a good range of drinks and biscuits. Cleanliness of the room was of a high standard. The downstairs area is also really nicely designed, with an outside seating area too. Staff are helpful and friendly. Our only disappointment (not a criticism) was being told there wasn't any Sunday roast left, after we had made a pre dinner booking. Maybe good to warn customers that this is likely to happen. However, we did find a wonderful Indian restaurant as an alternative. The little village itself is lovely to walk around. We would definitely stay here again."
