Vets Now High Wycombe

"Vets Now High Wycombe treated my cat Lily on 20/02/23. When I returned home after collecting Lily from Vets Now, I found Lily’s cashmere blanket missing from her carrier. The blanket was a special gift in memory of Lily’s brother. I immediately contacted Vets Now to ask if they had taken it. Almost a week later, Vets Now contacted me to state they had taken Lily’s blanket and washed it. I asked Vets Now to post my blanket to me but they ignored my requests for two weeks. I then made a formal complaint. Vets Now eventually posted Lily’s blanket on 13/03/23 and when I received it the next day, it was damaged. On 14/03/23 I asked Vets Now to meet the cost of a replacement blanket. So far Vets Now have only offered goodwill sums that do not meet the cost of the replacement blanket. Today 24/03/23 I received an email from Vets Now informing me they need another 28 days to carry out a further independent review and report their findings to me. I am utterly shocked by the shameful conduct of Vets Now. Incidentally, they also asked me to sign an NDA and disclaimer which I have rejected."

"My dog had eaten chocolate truffles on Christmas Day, we took her to the clinic and my dog was given something to make her sick. My Husband was given two tubes of charcoal to administer at home..my husband was gone less that an hour with our dog taking into consideration the trip of 3 miles there and 3 miles back and we were charged £ 518.00 which I think is extremely expensive for what that actually did. I have taken into consideration it was Christmas Day, but to just administer medicine to make my dog sick and then send her home for us to complete the rest of the treatment, I dont think the fee matched the amount of treatment she got. However, I am grateful that she is still here with us but don't feel the prices charged are a fair price."

"Whilst I did not have an issue with the way my dog was treated I do have an issue with how I have been treated following his unexpected death. It is hard enough dealing with the grief so you expect some sort of aftercare asides from them just wanting their money which is all I got. Since paying my bill and for a cremation I heard nothing from them for 10 days so had to email them as you can’t call them. It wouldn’t take much effort for them to call/email with an update but once they’ve had your money it’s obvious they don’t give a monkey’s. Pretty appalling customer service."

"Excellent care at a frightening time: no complaints. Vets reassuring and communicative. The company got the invoicing wrong afterwards and going through official channels via the website was not helpful (assorted voicemails only). I spoke to a human being by classifying it as follow-up to a clinical case, which meant talking to someone on-site (who knew the details) rather than the finance dept. Then it was sorted. However this seems to be how most big companies operate these days: and that's the only reason I haven't given 5 stars"

"My dog was take to the vets with breathing difficulties. The service provided was good. The bill on the other hand was a shock £961. It’s really shocking to charge people that much while we are all going through the cost of living crisis and people are unable to feed their children and keep the heating on. Very disappointing"
