"Don’t hesitate. BOOK! Fantastic experience! We booked this for an anniversary trip. Lovely staff who went the extra mile to accommodate all of our needs. The grounds were beautiful, with varied wildlife. The hotel room was filled with personal touches and the outdoor bath was an absolute highlight. We did have a few issues but these were sorted appropriately. Great restaurant too. Albeit a brilliant experience, being a new hotel, I look forward to seeing its growth and returning in 2023."

"Stayed 1 night and 2 days at the Tawny on a business retreat. The setting is very tranquil. The lodges are beautiful. The food is 5-star. The staff are stand-out excellent. The outdoor pool is also a stand-out feature. The only downsides are the trails to the lodges can be difficult to travel on foot with bags although there are buggies if you have time to book and wait. And a distance from the pool. Also if you have a big appetite the lunch and dinner portions are on the small side."

"Our family with a dog stayed for a few days. The huts were superbly furnished and clean. The outside hot tub provided a ton of joy for the entire family, as our little boy loved splashing the bubbles around. The hotel grounds were huge and diverse, and we had many wonderful walks around the superbly maintained gardens. The food was also absolutely amazing. I highly recommend!"

"Incredible hotel with so much to offer! We had the most amazing stay at The Tawny Hotel. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and kind. Our porter Simon was especially helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms were spectacular and you felt like you were staying right in the middle of nature. The food at The Plumicorn was also phenomenal! If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay near the Peak District this is a great location!"

"An amazing hidden gem for sure. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with beautiful walking paths and scenic views in every direction. The room itself was fantastic, brand new, with great amenities. The food at the bar was better than the dinner menu in my party’s opinion, as it felt the dinner menu was trying to be a set menu without being a set menu. The portions were very small for the price. The bar menu was really great however, with big portions at reasonable prices. The only other downside was the ongoing construction of new cabins while we were there, which took a bit away from the peace and quiet. Overall, highly recommended!"
