"12 of us from all around the country have just come back from a lovely weekend for my daughters hen party. We stayed at Chels Barn, which had everything we needed, such a beautiful place, plus a hot tub with wonderful views across the countryside. We had to turn the heating down as the place was so warm. The only criticism would be the light in the garden which only stayed on a few seconds so had to keep moving around to get it on, an outside light which could be switched on and off would be good. We are looking at booking this again in the future for a family get-together."

"From our initial communication with partyhouses we were very impressed with what could be achieved when hiring out this venue. We hired out the entire property for a celebration weekend as we had got married in New Zealand and had our first son during covid and so a long overdue family and friends reunion was planned. Not only is it a stunning location (very fitting as we are on a farm in New Zealand so the countryside backdrop of cows in the field next to use was great) but the accomodation itself was amazing. Each building was above and beyond our expectations, we had guests in nearly every room and they were so thrilled with the facilities and comfort on offer. There is so much scope to have a special time or event here. We organised tipis on the lawn to house our guests for the weekend for different events. On the Friday we had a fancy dress party in the tipis with a Food truck, magician and saxophonist. It was amazing as guests with children could put them to bed safe in the knowledge they were close by. The next morning our guests enjoyed themselves, explored the local area and enjoyed the gardens. We had our 'wedding day part 2 and son's blessing at St Matthews Church in Meerkbrook which was 10 mins down the road. There was a fantastic room in Toft Hall downstairs for us to get ready in as the bridal party. The kitchens had everything we needed and we did a huge delivery order from Asda which arrived on the Friday for anything we needed, both things we read weren't provided and also all food/drinks for the weekend. On the Saturday we had our drinks reception in the gardens of Toft hall with a steel drum band and canapes provided by a great caterer called Blackhousevents catering. We held our reception dinner in the tipis also catered by the same company and then had a Dj/one man band called Lee Gordon. Toft Estates provided a great area for this to happen and it meant having a DJ/one man band the noise was not excessive. We cut our cake with the countryside in the background at golden hour, it was a stunning backdrop. On the Sunday we had a hog roast company come and cater as well as MaDrenaline events in the Chels Barn garden which was similarly a great backdrop and so much fun. We hired a generator to run the excess electrical components e.g lights, catering, music, fridge trailer etc. The communication with everyone prior to the event was great, on arrival and departure we met the loveliest housekeepers. We felt like we could truly make Toft Estate our home away from home and so did our guests and could not recommend it highly enough for its facilities, comfort, environment and also location is very handy for anything you need in Leek."

"Stayed at Toft Hall as a group of 16 of us for a Stag Do - the house was absolutely great for a group of our size, and would've easily accommodated up to the max 20 members advertised. It had everything needed for a self-catered trip away and would be perfect for large friend/family gatherings etc as it plenty of communal space, a lovely garden and plenty to do nearby. Chris and the team at Party Houses were great with all questions we had throughout the booking process, and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a large group trip away in the Peak District area."
