"The people are very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I enjoyed the fine dining with the added experience of being at the chefs table. Each course was a treat, with each one being better than the last. Some delightful wines were served to compliment each course Everything was explained in detail by the chef and we witnessed the care and attention to detail that goes into each dish. Everyone involved was lovely, knowledgeable and pleasure to talk to. A very highly recommended experience."

"Straight after a night out locally in November 2022 the following morning we had mislaid an important item. Without delay the reception , house keeping staff, bar staff, local taxi firm dropped everything to help. Item found . This wasdone during a busy morning when each staff had thier own duties to carry out. Hotel work is hard work when done well. Staff across all age ranges all pleasant. Food good as was everything else. Reception staff … patience of saints . Enough said."

"I photographed Grace and Pier's beautiful wedding day this December 2022 and December 2020 due to Covid. I can highly recommend this venue to get married, staff are very friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. Look out for the hidden ruins and beautiful woodlands to the side of the venue makes for some great light for photos. A great Country House for weddings! - Philip Quinnell Photography"

"I was taken for afternoon tea, for my 60th birthday. Unfortunately we were so cold, we did ask staff to put another log, on the fire, she was reluctant, but put newspaper on!! Apparently they were trying to conserve logs! At the expense of our comfort. We weren’t the only table to complain about it. The food was nice. We won’t be returning again!"

"An amazing place, nestled in the Hampshire countryside. A group of us took part in one of the cookery school classes. Such a great experience if you're a foodie! I didn't stay at the hotel but we had a drink in the lounge area beforehand. It was decked out for Christmas and definitely put us in the mood. After visiting this time, I do want to revisit and experience what else it has to offer."
