"Superbly helpful staff. Visited for lunch so can't comment on hotel facilities, but the pub/bar area was great. Booked a table on line which was readily reserved. The two ladies on duty at lunchtime really went out of their way to help my disabled mum."

"So pleased with the helpful staff at this hotel. We were turned away from another local hotel, despite having a confirmed booking. The staff here did everything they could to fit us in, and made us feel very comfortable. We had a very nice meal in the evening, plus two pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord. The breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient as well."

"Visited for lunch and was very impressed with everything. Firstly the service was fantastic and both highly attentive and exceptionally friendly. The Menu was had loads of options and was quite reasonable for the quality of the food and was very tasty. Finally the atmosphere was very pleasant and the decor was well furnished and had lots of historical character. Didn’t stay in the hotel but I can certainly recommend the dining side of the Raven. Will definitely return!"
