Reviews
"Third time here over last couple of months. Tried different food each time and, without a doubt, for someone that travels the UK daily and eats regularly out, this is a gem of a place for food. Portions are ridiculously big for the price. So cheap. I’m sold. Good on a pub that goes beyond the microwave and delivers SERIOUSLY great grub for such, in my opinion, a silly price. Great food. Great service. Definitely a cracking place."
"Came in for Sunday lunch. Really nice food. Not overcooked and two courses for a tenner! The lady behind the bar was very tolerant when we were dithering where to sit. Would definitely recommend the place!"
"Excellent. Lovely clean room with a delicious cooked breakfast. Good choice of well kept beer too. Helpful and friendly proprietor and staff. Great value - highly recommended."
"Lovely wee pub that I stayed in overnight whilst working in Middlewich. Liz couldn’t have been any more helpful and even allowed me to check in early. Whilst room was being sorted I had a drink in the pub which is just so cosy and welcoming. Food was lovely and all cooked fresh so was piping hot when it came out. Had a pint of shandy with dinner which was perfect. Room was a good size and spotless. Good shower and the choice of a bath as well. If I’m ever working down there again, this is the place I would want to stay!"
"Booked to stay for a night due to business trip. Warm welcome upon arrival and shown to room which was clean and more than adequate for my needs. A good selection of beers (I'm pretty sure other drinks were also freely available, just not my choice) and a good choice of foods too. Meal arrived promptly whilst I sat in the public bar area which was busy. Great food and good service all evening. Breakfast was to the same standard as the evening meal and cooked to order. This isn't a fine dining or fancy hotel. But it was perfect for my stay and well priced. Will definitely book again when I'm in the area."
