"I only give 4 stars as I did not visit all areas available at the time. Went to a family wake here. My brother-in-law ran this pub a long time ago and used to visit regularly. Going now, it has changed for the better. It still has an original stable at the back from decades ago, a hint of which is reflected in the pub today, with old saddles displayed exquisitely on the wall. Very friendly, the pub has a wonderful, community feel. It was full and busy, full of life and chatter. There was a room upstairs for food, I didn't go to, ideal for small functions, a small room to the side which would probably be quieter, or good for those with children. A good selection of drinks, both non-alcoholic & 'adult' beverages. I'd go again."

"Nice cosey little place. Good range or beers, lagers, ciders and wines. Basic crisp type snacks available. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, I was pleasantly surprised. Had lots of parking and a good sized garden I'm looking forward to trying in the summer."
