"Went to watch the football tonight (25th Nov) & the barmaid, who I now know to be called Kirstie Davies, urgently needs to go on a customer care skills course. All the people sat near the door were freezing cold because she kept opening the front door because she was 'too warm behind the bar' & when I closed it & told her why she was really aggressive towards me, saying "do you really want to go against the barmaid"(!) Err, no I dont (& if you're that warm working behind the bar then maybe dont wear a jumper made of synthetic fibres?) Multiple paying CUSTOMERS forced to put their coats back on to keep warm because the barmaid is slightly above her station & thinks her priorities come first. We left before the game started & went elsewhere."

"As regards the clientele, sociable boozer, but rarely if ever cask ales on, not sure about cider so beware of you want to use your CAMRA vouchers or discount. Whatever media it is they've got on it's too loud in my limited experience."

"Great town centre pub recently refurbished to a very high standard. Sports channels screened on multiple screens. Nice pub with fantastic staff and the drinks are inexpensive. Wide variety of seating available from benches and chairs to high bar stools. It's also really convenient for the intermission if your at a show on at the lyceum ."
