Reviews
"My wife and I had a lovely tea in the restaurant. We originally booked for 2.30 but discovered the guided tour of the Wallace Collection started then but the restaurant kindly changed our booking time. Tea was fresh sandwiches, moist scones with cream and jam and good selection of cakes. All in a smart setting with the sun streaming in through the glass roof. No wonder the restaurant was busy!"
"An outstanding place of beauty with a stunning eclectic selection of furniture, art and armour. The Wallace restaurant is set in a spacious delicate soft pink courtyard offering a calm oasis, sprinkled with plants and trees. The natural lighting gives a feeling of alfresco dining, with the comfort of being under glazed cover, enabling all round seasonal seating."
"Cute space, very nicely decorated, but fails on quality and isn’t really value for money. Terribly overpriced. Toast was dry and the bread didn’t taste the freshest and the Orange & polenta cake was incredible dry. Generally I would not recommend this place. Overpriced and even the menus are print outs…. Quality is not something the strive for."
"I’m surprised that a piece of bread wasn’t included with the soup considering a small bowl cost £8. The avocado tomatoes on toast was saturated in clumps of sea salt, my daughter couldn’t eat it. Furthermore the staff here today seemed to be annoyed and fed up with something, it was very obvious and made us feel uncomfortable as paying guests. The ambiance and setting on the other hand is beautiful and a credit to the museum."
"Afternoon tea was very affordable and service was great. The gallery holds amazing artwork so you can dine surrounded by exquisite pieces of art. I had a herbal tea but for me it wasn’t that aromatic."
