"I like the Co-op and have been shopping with them for 40 years. But the staff in the Hither Green branch are really poorly managed. They seem disinterested to the point of rudeness. Often they are nowhere near the tills and are standing around chatting to each other. It makes me shop elsewhere. It’s certainly not customer first."

"I like this Coop. They seem to have nicer staff in there these days. Good baked goods and huge booze selection. It's all a bit pricey so I don't do my weekly shop here but I also am a member so get a small discount here and there."

"I've given this place a lot of chances but I have to give in and admit it's just no good. Despite the size the range seems to be quite limited and they've often sold out of popular items. But worse than that the customer service is appalling. Multiple times I've been here and the staff have actually raised their voices to me for minor issues (e.g. putting groceries in the wrong place or accidentally blocking an aisle) and whenever I try to use my student card card they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about and sometimes even refuse me. The last straw came when after queuing for 10 minutes I was bluntly told at the checkout it was cash only (in the middle of a pandemic!) despite no signage for this! A very stressful place to shop - less than 5 minutes round the corner is a lovely Tesco which has a comparable range but far more professional and pleasant staff- I'd advise going there."
