"It’s a lovely place to walk. I was amazed at the clear waters of the lake. You could see the fish swimming around. There were so many. The birds were on the surface and it was a cool sight. We spotted a couple of water voles. I’ve never seen any before. Don’t confuse them with rats. They look very cute. The children’s play area was good apart from the young child area. It looks cute and fun, but it’s honestly a death trap. It’s steep and has lots of areas where a little one could fall. It really needs to be flattened out quite a lot. Every person I spoke to in that area had trouble with it."

"The place is lovely...had a wand, to listen to the history. Kids learnt lots of facts, weather was gorgeous which helped."

"What an absolutely wonderful adventure! It's like going back in time with a guide who makes the whole thing come alive. You have the sights, smells and sounds of the past as the guide, playing the role of a villager, takes you around the medieval village explaining what everything is, what it meant and how it shaped not only life 600 years ago but today as well. You'll see the connection between our comfortable lives today and the lives our ancestors lived, ancestors who braved the elements, the battles and The Plague. Seriously excellent, lots of fun, impressively informative (my wife, 6yr old daughter and I had all our questions answered with patient clarity) and worth every single penny. Ps.if you have kids who like Minecraft, they'll likely see a connection between that game and this medieval world."

"A really nice place to visit with nice scenery and plenty of things to look at. The guided tour was well worth it, with plenty of history and character. At the time visited, you need to buy tickets from the park reception next to the village and walk around to the Medieval village."
