"Stay away! Always had caring local vets doing their best for the animal. Not any more since the money makers took over. Feel sorry for the caring vets working for them who must now behave without empathy, sympathy and care for owner and pet, and just make more profit for their employers. Shameful."

"Since IVC took over our local vets the cost of medication has gone through the roof. Overnight the cost of a drug for our pony went up 60% It's a shame we have to leave them after over 20 years as a customer but luckily we've found a great local independent vet to treat our horses."

"Yesterday I took my dog for his annual healthcheck/vaccination to the veterinary practice I’ve been using for 30 years and discovered that they had been taken over by this bunch of extortionists - I was charged double the amount I paid last year and on checking around ascertained that fee was also double the amount being charged by any other vet in the area. In the past I’ve always been very happy with my vet, the prices were reasonable and I’ve recommended them to many of my friends. I won’t be recommending them again, and am registering my animals with another vet. Such a shame that companies like this can price previously excellent vets out of the market"

"This Company took over our vet on the Isle of Wight. The practice shuts this evening, Friday 7 October. The local press broke the story Wednesday 5th and we received a text yesterday to let us know. The result being that we now don't have a vet, as their website says "until further notice". Apart from emergency treatment what are we supposed to do about routine treatments - flea & tick, worming, jabs etc? There should have at least been some discussion with the remaining vet practices on the island before leaving us in the lurch!!! Disgusting treatment, and if I could give no rating at all, I would."

"We have just paid £330 for a health certificate for two dog to go to Europe. In February we paid just £180 for the same thing, the same dogs going to the same destinations. The bill has nearly doubled. The vet at our practice in Shropshire was one we have used for over 30 years, they were to be trusted and have given excellent service in the past. However, to almost double a bill for a paper document that is required to travel into the EU is sharp, extortionate practice by the company that took over our practice. I hope that other pet owners check prices first, before they commit. We will now be looking for another vet that is prepared to charge a sensible price for the work they do. This company is all about profit not care."
