"Shocking customer service. My car is currently in a garage waiting to be repaired however due to a ‘backlog’ no one from Churchill has approved the repair as yet. I am calling daily for an update waiting up to an hour on hold to be told each time that there is a back log and they will look into it, and of course they still haven’t got back to me. I am now paying for taxis to get to and from work and still have no idea when my car will be approved for repair. I am extremely frustrated at their lack of concern and communication. Avoid Churchill, they may be cheap but it’s really not worth the hassle to deal with them if you have to make a claim!"

"Disgrace of a company part of the Directline group. Expect to queue 30mins to get through whenever you call- not sure what their SLa' are or when they were last met Our car was damaged new years Day still awaiting to approve repair or write off. Call them twice a week no progress with the most basic requests- apparently the engineers have a 21day backlog to look at my claim which is limited to a desktop top assessment. Emailed their acting CEO Jon Greenwood, he can't help expedite process been advised to wait til 28/02, can only describe as a unscrupulous company and to steer clear when taking any insurance products through Direct line group."

"My wife recently had a small accident that was not her fault. We advised Churchill of the incident and they took care of everything. We were not stressed at all and the follow Ip from their panel beaters and the car hire was also very good. Very pleased."

"What a shambles. After an accident you need clear communication with your insurers. With Churchill it is non-existent communication. If you are prepared to hold for 30 minutes you will get to speak to someone who cannot do anything. I feel sorry for the staff who front the calls. All they can do is promise to get someone to call you back and it never happens. There stock answer is that they are busy at the moment, all the Team Leaders are busy at the moment, all the engineers are busy because there is a backlog etc etc. Farcically even after offering compensation in acknowledgement of not returning calls they continue to not return calls. Avoid."
