"Do not recommend. I emailed to ensure my policy would not be renewed. Darwin went ahead and renewed anyway. I accepted my fate, 8 days later they realised I had contacted and cancelled after already renewing it. Leaving me with no policy, and having lost the excellent quote I had already received elsewhere. Customer service were completely dismissive of the issue they had caused."

"Insuring with Darwin was simple and straight forward, not only this, but unlike it seems most other insurers, if you change car and do the details on the website they don't make any charge for this, which is a big plus as I did change cars. Very happy with the service received and the price too."

"Terrible service following cancellation of policy. I was charged a £32 'admin' fee. I was told this would be voided from the account once I proved I had insured my car with another company - which I had (I'm now with the AA). Sent the new policy docs as proof but these weren't accepted because the new policy was in my husband's name instead of mine - which seems ridiculous since it's the car that needs the insurance and not the individual (even though my name is on the policy as a named driver!!). They then passed my details over to debt control - so I had no other option but to pay. I will never use Darwin again because of this and I encourage anyone thinking of buying their insurance to seriously consider whether it's worth it even if they are the cheapest at the time."

"They were very understanding when I needed to change my DD date due to the fact that I had changed jobs. It was a little bit of a wait to get through to someone however once u got through it was quick and simple and they sent me an email to confirm after."

"Excellent service from the lady I spoke to, and have had no problems renewing. I have only given four stars, and not five, as you don't offer a multiple car policy, and insuring the second car (the first time I've ever done it) meant paying much more, especially as my no claims bonus doesn't count for the second car. This seems rather odd, as I earned the no claims discount, not the car, and also, since I'm the only person at this address, and can only drive one car at a time, then the risk of my making a claim is exactly the same as if I only had the one car."
