"Controller said taxi would come in 5-10mins, in the end it came after 20 mins. Controller promised I'd get to train station by 7.20am but in the end got there 7.45am and missed my 7.30am train to Birmingham. Had to get the next one at 8.30am. First time I've used them and not impressed. Driver was great though"

"I pre-booked a WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) for my Mum on Christmas Day which I was a little apprehensive about having used another company a few weeks ago who cancelled at the last minute which was extremely inconvenient. The vehicle arrived on time for the pick up in the afternoon and return journey later in the evening and the drivers were very helpful ensuring the journey for my Mum was comfortable and also for my Dad who accompanied her. Would recommend this company and will be using them again in the future."

"I booked online, and when we started the trip, the driver first told me that I had to add 95£ if I wanted to get the quickest way (with toll). Moreover he wanted me to add 5£ to pay by card whereas they advertise on their site that you can pay in the car with no extra charge. The driver was on time, helped me for luggage, and the car was good."

"This review is for a booking a while ago but I can see in the comments that A1 taxis didn’t learn from their mistakes. I have booked and pre payed 2 taxis on our wedding day, 2 separate bookings and pick up from 2 different locations. In both occasions the taxi didn’t show up. The first booking was during the day, taxi didn’t show up and when we called they said they couldn’t find the address. No call from their side to check, just a lame excuse for their failure to Homer their commitment. The address was correct and it would be weird if they couldn’t find a church that has been there for a 1000 years. Requested a new taxi ASAP and after 4/5 more phone calls it took them an hour to send a new taxi. No apology or solution was given. Second booking at the end of the evening, again a no show, again had to call to see what was going on. Another lame excuse that someone else cancelled this booking, no apologies, no let’s come to a solution together, just a rude person on the phone. Requested the manager, who was not available so requested a call back. No call back was made and had to chase up 2 more times to get to speak to someone who didn’t laugh in our face or came up with an other excuse. To summarise, DO NOT BOOK THIS TAXI, they can’t keep their promise and are rude on the phone. As insult to injury they post below on the comment. A1 Taxi St Albans, do not use, if they checked their log they know."

"Kamrul driver 077 was brilliant for our journey this evening. We travelled from the airport with a toddler and he was super patient when we were late coming out of the airport, had a lovely Mercedes and was super courteous and professional. Would highly recommend."
