Tots in Sport

"I can't recommend this class highly enough. Jan is always so positive and encouraging. You can really see how much effort she puts into planning each class, and tailoring lots of interesting activities for the little ones. My little girl loves when it's time to wear her "kit" and finds each lesson so much fun. The sport changes every 2 weeks and my daughter has tried all 8 different sports now. She has learnt so much, not just about physical skills like throwing, jumping, running, etc but she has also developed her mental skills, as she is just starting to name her colours now. Jan takes every opportunity to incorporate chances to develop those additional skills like colour and shape in each lesson, along with turn-taking and tidying up too. And thankfully Jan is really understanding of the times when my daughter just wants to run around and let off steam. The atmosphere in the class is lovely too, with parents cheering every child on, not just their own child, so that each child feels supported and their achievements are valued. I've also noticed how Jan praises the children's efforts even when they haven't quite mastered the skill, which is quite often given their age, but I know that this encourages the all-important growth mindset which will be so crucial as my child grows up. I'm so glad we found this class and intend to keep taking my daughter along for as long as I can. If you're not sure about booking, give it a try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

The class is small enough that it wasn’t overwhelming for her and over the first few weeks her confidence really grew and she looks forward to going. The sport is focused on motor skill development but in such a fun and engaging way for the little ones, using colours and hoops instead of just boring old goals or nets. Janet is clearly a real professional and I enjoy attending and seeing them having such a great time."
