"I only used the pure spa as a visitor to the city. I really enjoyed my time and treatments and cannot fault them but would have liked to enjoy the relaxing area before and after my treatments but I wasn't invited to make the most of the facilities even though I arrived early for my appointment, allowing time to do so"

"Awfully tennis facilities. This club is a gym with a restaurant. This is an update to mention that tennis facilities are getting worse and used for non tennis purposes like little kids playing football. We complained and the club responded that they are not planning to change this because this is a sports club not a tennis club. Tennis courts can be booked for purposes other than tennis for the kids club. Meaning that if you are playing tennis you need to deal with the noise they make. Also, it is impossible to book a court from Monday to Thursday for 5 pm to 8:30 pm. I set an alarm at 8am, the time they make courts available every day, and very rarely I manage to book a court. Only one out of seven outdoor court is playable the rest are closed or unsafe to play due to no maintenance. We are two adults and one kid and we pay almost £200 a month. Not worth the money."

"tried so hard to justify the very high fee so I could use the outdoor pool but its always dirty...always mould in the bathrooms...leaving has been a shambles with zero communication despite sending several emails. none at all - I wanted clarification on leaving dates etc. happily swimming at Leith pool which is actually cleaner and nicer and about a tenth of the cost."

"This club has great facilities. When I first joined the changing rooms were in desperate need of upgrading along with the spa but they are starting to invest and update which is great. Staff are super friendly and the food seems decent although I’ve not tried it much. The main reason I joined is for the gym. There is a decent variety of equipment, somewhat dated but all still functional, would definitely benefit from another smith machine though for those strength training without a spotter. The main reason I have not scored this club higher is purely based on the lax rules staff seem to have about allowing children into the gym. When I signed up I was assured by the member of staff the gym was for adults only. I’m all for kids exercising and having healthy lifestyles however they have access to the rest of the club except the spa and I get distracted during my workouts worrying / watching incase one of them has an accident, for example this evening when two young boys were going to fast on a treadmill. In this instance their dad was present in the gym to slow them down, previously I have witnessed kids trying to lift weights too heavy for them with no adult supervision which I had to report to reception. I don’t pay £170 per month between myself and my partner to child mind. PTs / staff seem unbothered but them being there but ultimately if one of them had an accident the club would be liable so you would think they would take it more seriously."
