"Comfortable bed. Room small with no view and certainly not as nice as those in the marketing pictures. Checking in was over the bar and took a long time... Food was very much pub food - I was hoping for better. Breakfast was limited to a cooked dish of choice with drinks. No cereal for example. All said and done for a work trip it would have been fine. For a nice night away with my wife it was somewhat underwhelming."

"Couldn’t cancel because of advanced booking and no number to call due to other reasons couldn’t stay. Ate here that night, had issues ordering at first, never received our drinks, reordered and staff didn’t even know what they were serving. Huffed and puffed to get cutlery too. Glad we didn’t stay with this attitude."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. It was conveniently situated & had free car parking, always a bonus! Check in was straightforward & we were shown to our room which was very spacious & nicely decorated. Unfortunately we had nowhere to hang out clothes (we had suits & a dress) as the rail in our room had broken. All the hangers were on top of wardrobe. We felt this should have been sorted as it must’ve been reported before we arrived. One of the staff offered to bring us a rail but then decided to change us to a room at the last minute. Our new room had a very small wardrobe area with rail which did the job. The room was much smaller including the bed. It was fairly noisy with traffic outside but we managed to ignore it. Also with people going to & from their rooms but I guess that can’t be avoided really. The ensuite was very nice and new. Could’ve done with a dressing table & mirror with sockets near by. There was just a desk with a tv above. Pub area was nice and homely with good decor. Breakfast was good & included in the price we paid."
