"I have been with this doctors surgery for the last 18 years. My personal experience has been an excellent one. Let's firstly talk about the receptionists. Specially, Manjit, Daljit, Jazz and Angela! These ladies here are patient, calm and really listen to everything I have to say. I have never had any issues with them. The book me in quickly when they can, if there is a cancellation I have been called to see if I would like to take it up. They are really holding the Fort there considering how busy the phones are and how many people turn up into the surgery they are doing a great job and this shouldn't go unrecognised! When I see them they are always smiling and I even get a wave too. I feel happy within myself just seeing them and they make you feel happier when your not doing so great. This is small but plays a big part. I have seen people speak rudely to them but there is only so much they can do (even though they go above and beyond) and it's up to the public to be understanding to this, they are trying to do their best. There are 3 doctors, i am usually able to get an appointment with one. If there is a wait they will always fill you in wherever possible. Emergency appointments can be a struggle but that is an issue everywhere. You may be waiting on the phone line for 20 mins but you will get through, sometimes I haven't been able to get an appointment but your issue is heard and recommendation is made. Overall docs are efficient. During covid everyone of my emails were seen to and actioned quickly. So far I'm happy staying here. X"

"If I could give 0 star, I would!!! One of the worst surgeries I have ever signed upto. They have 1-2 doctors and 5 receptionist on duty per day. You call 8am and wait 30 minutes on line to be attended and to be only told they have NO APPOINTMENTS LEFT FOR THE DAY. With 4 month old twins and a 2 year old toddler being asked to go a&e for every little illness is ridiculous, what are gp’s for then? Call them any day of the week and no appointment! Worst gp service.. I am 100% moving and anyone joining.. pls think 100 times before, as you will highly regret!!!!!!"

"One of the worst GP i had ever seen. 0 customer service and 0 patience For waiting almost an hour we get a chance to speak up and without completing our whole words they just shut the phone on us. This is unprofesaional and extremely rude way to talk to someone. I wanted to book a CECT scan for my abdomen as i am suffering from umbilical discharge and i asked for whole body check up instead of guiding me she said the hospital will do that okay fine!!! I understand but as i was speaking to her she did not listened to me and during the convo she hung the phone on me and when i tried to call again all the calls were busy. They did not even booked me one of the tests . This is the most common thing i found in this gp every time they have some drama to pick it up . This is not the first time i am the victim for such unacceptable behaviour. As a student we pay a lot of money for our health insurance and thats how we are treated if you are fustrated with your job you can resign easy!!! There are hundreds of people who actually need help from the gp and as i can see all the reviews are for the receptionist. Better improve your attitude and your manners"

"Have been calling the practice for 5 days straight. The phone line is always busy or just constant ring. At all hours of the day. Finally got my appointment and had a 1.2 hour wait even though we were on time. This was fine as I could see from the waiting area they were busy. What shocked me was the fact that there was 3 people ‘manning’ the reception area of Chestnut Practice. The entire time, besides make tea, eat chocolates, computer stare I could not see any of them answer the phone. I decided to put it to the test and called the desk whilst I was waiting. To my shock the phone line was busy. Hung up and tried again this time double checking to see if any of them was on a call (they were not). The realisation hit me that they have diverted all calls to ‘Busy’!!!! The front of house at Chestnut seriously needs to be investigated. Don’t get me wrong the doctors are professional and experienced but they cannot have people who do not care and do the bare minimum running the appointments desk. I do hope this is investigated and action is taken as its a constant problem for this Surgery."
