"Got referred here by NHS 111 for extreme nerve pain. Was given a timing, but when I got there they said 'it's not an appointment' and to just queue up 'according to procedure'. Then, once I'd already waited for 4 hours was told (after asking at reception) that I'd actually be seen after 5 more hours because there was only one doctor on night shift! Absolute madness! My first time coming here, never again! 'Urgent Treatment Centre' my foot! If you're in extreme pain, don't bother coming here."

"The worst hospital I’ve been to it’s happened a few times now 24hrs wait in A and E to see a doctor for a pensioner that is having heart pain. The receptionist staff in all areas of hospital are very rude and want to fob patient off. The start to finish process is very long winded and nobody tells you what there doing with you but just doing it. Not a hospital really because there is no care. Announcement made that there is no injury doctor so if u have an injury go away or go queens hospital we cannot help you, absolutely atrocious."

"I was in King George cardiac ward for two months this year. They were amazing and saved my life. They truly were grace under pressure. The nurses and Doctors working had to help and took the time to diagnose something pretty rare. They are under paid and under staffed. Let’s support them more."

"I've been sent by NHS 111 to this hospital for an EKG and blood tests due to a heart condition and got there at 3 AM. The personnel at the triage room are indeed rude and seem to hate their job, as other people wrote in the previous comments. They are in fight mode with absolutely everyone, regardless of how you speak to them. After you share all details about yourself and how you feel, they give you a card based on the emergency (green, yellow, red). I was then sent to another part of the hospital where the actual work is done, and the room was absolutely packed with people. I had to again share all the things I've said to the triage. Here the personnel were moving faster. I was taken blood and had an EKG done by an amazing male nurse, super clear and calm and he is the reason I'm giving 1 star to this place (+ for cleanliness). The problem with this hospital is that they had only ONE doctor overnight, we were about 50 people in the waiting room and the queue for results was 11 (!!!!) hours. It got already 6 AM, my heart palpitations were getting worse because of tiredness and when I asked if I could go home, rest and come back for the results, I was told NO, if you leave you will have to start the queue again. I told them to send the results to my GP and they haven't done it for the last three days. I'm paying for NHS and I have a huge respect for what they do, I know they are overworked, tired and overwhelmed, but what is happening to this hospital is absolutely ridiculous."

"The staff in the Elm Care Breast Centre are amazing quite frankly. I had been there for tests and consultations and was treated with the utmost of care and compassion. I know people gripe about the NHS, but they are doing the best that they can, and remember these people sign up to do that job because they want to help people, not just because it is a job."
