"Armac Vets in Bury are professional, kind and caring. They go above and beyond for their clients and their pets. Hayley the vet was so reassuring when our little Mabel had to be admitted. She rang us regularly to let us know how she was doing. Fortunately, she recovered well due to her care. Marcus was also very helpful at her discharge. I’d recommend them to everyone! Thank you."

"I have had the misfortune of having 4 of my 5 Siberian Husky's either have to be euthanised or watch them pass away. However, the first of these was due to an incompetent 24 hour vets service based on the A59 whereby my male suffered from a siezure that lasted for 25 minutes to due incompetency from "My" vets. They did NOT have a qualified vet on call during the early hours and my males suffering was exacerbated because a trainee vet (which she turned out to be), could not administed a simple intraveinous line. At that point I decided to change over to Armac and I could not be more happy with the way in which my 4 remaining adult husky's have been treated. I have lost 3 along the way, one aged 15 (for which the vet stated they had never treated a huksy of this age), and two aged 14. 10 years old for a husky is a good age. Each time I have had my heart ripped out by the inevitable, the staff, Vets and clerical alike, have been absolutely exemplary. I can NOT fault the way in which i have been treated (as have my dogs) on each and every ocassion I have ever had to visit the surgery. The main 2 vets, Marcus Cronin and Charlotte Swain are two of the most professional, empathetic and decent vets I have ever had the pleasure to meet, despite the horrible and upsetting circumstances I have had to face. Hayley is another vet who is prepared to go above and beyond the call of duty when my eldest had a bleed from her liver following a biopsy. Regimentally she took the time to ring me every 2-3 hours throughout the early hours of the morning (as I had specifically requested) to let me know what the situation was. Not every visit has been doom and gloom and my remaining 14 year old and my new addition to the pack have received treatment which is above and beyond the call of duty. This does not only extend to the vets themselves, the admin staff have witnessed me on 4 occassions in abject misery leaving the building as my beloved have had to be put to sleep. Helen, Sandra, Jade, Caroline, Mel, Jade, and the accounts lady, Donna are all blessed with a love and empathy for animals that you could NEVER find anywhere else. I understand the criticism that the practice comes under as an out of hours vet (OOHVS) their prices SEEM to be a bit steep. However trust me when I state that my male who was undergoing a siezure for 25 minutes until an ACTUAL vet turned up (not a trainee at MY Vets), I would give everything I own to have not made that mistake and I am blessed to have a MORE than competent set of vets at Armac look after my dogs. My local Vets Trust (which is far cheaper), is literally 7 minutes away, but I CHOOSE to take the 20 minute trip (15 without traffic) to Armac. When you are in an emergeny situation, I understand how harsh and expensive and even (depending on which vet you get) emotions can cloud one's judgement. However, trust me when I state that these guys are the BEST you will find, and even in euthanasia they show dignity and empathy that I have never witnessed before, from admin staff to the vets. Charlotte, Marcus, Hayley, Natalia, Sandra, Caroline, Helen, Jade, Natalia, Claire, Mel, Donna, to all the staff, I owe you all a debt of gratitude I could never repay. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This review may seem a little OTT however I can assure anyone who takes the time and trouble to communicate with the staff, on all levels, the service received is second to none. As I stated, for Nanook, Sascha, Blanca, Kiyah and Balto and myself.... Thank you. Berny Coupe"

"I am not a regular reviewer but I felt compelled to write about the faultless service I received at Armac Vets. From the initial meeting when the door opened to my departure, when the front door shut behind me, I encountered nothing but professionalism, patience and kindness from everybody I met. My collie/lab, George, had collapsed and I was in a bit of a state in the wee small hours but he received an immediate diagnosis and excellent treatment which set him back on the road to recovery. I cannot thank the staff enough. I have no hesitation in recommending the practice to others."

"Excellent service. We needed a tick remover Sunday evening after finding 2 ticks on our dog. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful. She confirmed that they had one and the price. We were able to call in within the hour and pick one up. Thank you so much. We did not want to use tweezers or leave them overnight."

"Like me, my cat is geriatric but still going strong = 18yrs old. She’s had the best of care with thyroid+high blood pressure problems. Staff always very pleasant, listening and seeking best treatment. If I had a choice, then I would definitely apply to become a patient of theirs. Originally wondered if parking would be an issue, but no problems over the years we’ve attended."
