"I took my car in to have the brakes pads replaced, following an MOT test a few months ago. On inspection, it was found there were about 5000 miles left on the pads, so they didn't need changing. Obviously I was pleased they hadn't been changed, just for the sake of it. I have always found the garage to be very thorough and reasonably priced."

"We took our car to Elmwood after it failed its MOT due to the failing rear coil springs. My husband grew up with my mechanic father-in-law so he knows a lot about cars (and discusses issues with his dad on the phone but my father in law lives in another country so cannot do the work himself) so we always have an informed idea of what any job should cost. We took our car to Elmwood before and were happy with the work and the price so we took in there again, requesting a quote. Elmwood provided the quote. We advised we wanted to go ahead. On completion of the work I then received a phone call that afternoon saying “the job is finished - you can come and collect the car, oh and the price is such and such”…. £100 cheaper than the original quote. Myself and my husband were very happy with this. I don’t know if there are many people around who would be so honest. Honest and fair mechanics in all dealings we have had with them and we will continue to use them and recommend them."
