"Last minute Sunday roast. Quick, friendly service, food good, plenty off it, only slight issue was my lamb whilst cooked perfectly, was a bit fatty. To be fair, virtually all Sunday roasts I have had have been similar with lamb. My partners chicken was perfect. Nice place inside, bit quirky, lots of nooks and crannies. Recommended."

"It's nice, but not amazing. The food is okay but nothing to write home about, the drinks are drinks, the atmosphere is nice, the garden is very nice. I recommend going for a pint if you're in the area and I enjoyed myself there. Nice and cozy pub"

"We fancied tapas and our usual venue was booked solid at lunch time. A quick Google search for tapas found the Phoenix, plus it was by the river. They don't take bookings but upon arrival we found several suitable tables outside. The tapas menu was limited but what we ordered was very tasty, they had one of my favourite tapas; shallow fried chorizo in olive oil. If eating outside, you order and pay for food and drink at the outside bar."
