Reviews
"Terrible experience multiple times now in multiple Charles Tyrwhitt stores, this one in particular. First one I went with a friend, the sales assistant completely ignored us, to which I then overheard her saying later to someone else that she was only doing this job for networking opportunities- absolutely outrageous. The second time I went in was for me - the suits are over priced relative to other stores and brands now (business casual clothes are even more over priced but that’s another thing). I was asked if I needed help so asked for a pair of trousers in my size to which it was insisted I get a size way too big for me to which I said no they will be too big to which again it was insisted I take a huge size for me. After caving i then waited around whilst I was told someone was getting them, nothing ever arrived. Go down the road 50m to Moss Bros - suits are much better and better value and customer service is decent."
"1. This dress maker does not understand the meaning of non-iron. It mean you pop it in the washer/dryer and throw it on without needing to iron the shirt. Bought s few shirts from these guys and they are far from non-iron. Another bait and switch scheme perhaps. See pictures! 2. Slim fitted shirts feels and look like a gown when worn. 3. Their short sleeve shirts are so tight around the arm the feel like body hugs and can rip when you extend your arm. So restrictive clothing."
"I've been purchasing clothing from Charles Tyrwhitt online for years, so I was excited to visit their original store on Jermyn Street. While the selection of men's apparel is outstanding, the organization of the shop is more reflective of Kohls or Marshall's. I purchased a top coat and was assured my alterations would be complete before my departure for America. They never contacted me, so the day before my departure, I popped into the store. No one knew where my coat was or how to locate it. After several phone calls, it was located in transit back to the shop. I would expect a higher level of service and professionalism from this brand especially in its original location."
"Went into the store on the 24/11 to get a suit and shirt for my son’s wedding, I never normally wear a suit. I was served by Chris R, I could not fault him, great customer service. He took a great deal of time making sure I got a jacket that fitted properly (different size than I would have got, he explained how people get the wrong size), I was in-between waist size for the trousers, so he arranged for them to be adjusted by them, they have just arrived at my home and fit perfectly. He also knew what size shirt I needed, and I tried on one to make sure, I have short arms and have never had a shirt that was not too long in the sleeve before, he suggested the colour which I would have picked and finally we decided on a tie to match the suit and shirt. I think he was trying to wind me up, have a bit of fun, with a suggestion of a bright orange tie. 10 out of 10 for Chris’s service and knowledge."
"Lovely collection of vintage, classic formal and casual shirts. Quality clothing. Wonderful service at the start of your shopping to guide you on your size + Helpful staff. Everyone finds a piece! Something to improve: would be great to have a tailor because the casual shirts section doesn't cater well to tall people of lean build."
