"A great shop with great tailoring. The staff have always been extremely helpful and pleasant. Nothing is too much for them to help. This has been over many years. Well done. An asset to Jermyn Street."

"I’ve recently bought a £500 suit from RC - it wasn’t quite my liking, but it is difficult to find good quality for that amount. The staff was quite helpful and friendly, albeit a bit pushy to make a decision. The suit itself was of decent quality - good wool, but some of the finishing touches were a bit rough. However, I’ve later on decided to return it and continue my search somewhere else. What I thought to be a trivial process turned into a huge headache. A gentleman started inspecting the suit - all fair and nice. However, what happened next shocked me - I was in danger of not being able to return the suit because the interior material was a bit scuffed up - a CLEAR sign that the suit has been worn. I kept on explaining to the staff that I had the suit on for 30-40 mins max between trying it in the store and at home - but to no avail. The conversation went on for almost half an hour, with me trying to understand and explain the situation - and just being told that the suit has been worn and they don’t think it’s good for a return. They’ve sent it back to their central store for more check-ups - and 3 days later, they came back to say that yes, it is actually fine and they will accept the return. I’m currently waiting for my money still."

"I'm a long-term fan of this company – the clothes are well made and last for years. Wanted to buy a dinner shirt, but my size wasn't in stock. Geoff offered to order it for collection the next day. He then phoned me two hours later to say it had been received already, meaning I was able to return to the shop on my way home and save an extra journey into town. The shirt is great quality and excellent value. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be using this branch again."

"I thought I'd try this shop as an alternative to the bigger stores on Jermyn Street. Staff seemed knowledgeable and were pleasant in the first instance. I bought a suit. When I got home I noticed three significant defects, besides lots of loose threads. The worst being some terrible stitching of the lining in the underarm, with lots of the lining fabric badly frayed. While I am pleased that RC offered to pay for postage to look at it and possibly repair it, and refunded me in full when I decided against that, I am not happy with the way one of the shop assistants handled the situation when I returned the suit to the shop in person. Having showed him the underarm (photo attached), he tried to tell me that it is meant to be like that to allow freedom of movement. No comment from him when I showed him the other underarm, which was fine... He also told me that the other defect (photo) was 'nothing' and could be quickly pressed and fixed, without being able to explain to me the nature of the strange defect. I strongly suspect that had I not gone there in person and been able to point at the frayed fabric with my finger, they would have made it much harder for me to return. There was also no apology forthcoming for selling me a damaged suit which all in all cost me three trips to their shop. Instead he was quite rude and made me feel uncomfortable for not being satisfied with a badly made suit. Poor quality suit and wheeler-dealer type attitude in the store."

"I needed a shirt and trousers for a book event the following evening. They fitted me out perfectly, took up the trousers in time and even pressed the shirt so I was in good order. The staff were friendly and fun to shop with. I'll be back!"
