Reviews
"Slightly overcooked pasta accompanied by very rushed and curt service. Although their ambiance was very warm, welcoming and homely - as if you've just walked in to a friend's living room - the service was everything but. Every bite felt closely watched as the wait staff patrolled the dining area, ready to swoop in as soon as you place your cutlery down to take away your plates and ask if you'll be having desserts or the bill. It was anything but relaxing. You can clearly sense that they want your table back as soon as possible, even if we've only been there for 45 minutes and still had 45 minutes remaining in our allotted time. The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was great - but the pasta was overcooked. The 3 stars given are for: ⭐️ Location ⭐️ Ambiance ⭐️ They cooked the octopus perfectly. A feat rarely done well in London restaurants. Glad we managed to try the place but not sure I'll be coming back."
"Charming little neighbourhood restaurant with a cozy feel to it. Good selection of wines. The staff were very attentive and provided some great recommendations when it came to choosing the wine. Starters were tasty, however the pasta was a little lack lustre and did not satisfy me."
"At first I was not sure how many stars to give, but writing the review made it actually clear. The service is good as the waitress pay good attention to the customers and I loved the atmosphere: warm lights, simply decorated but cosy. Towards the entrance, there is also an “open-kitchen” where 2 women were making pasta from scratch. We didn’t have any appetizers, so we started from the pasta! All pasta is unique, as none is a traditional dish you can find in any restaurant in Italy (at least from my experience). I ordered orecchiette with stracciatella, green peas and ham: it was good, but something did not feel right. My friend ordered the spaghetti, where although tasty and pleasant for the palate the lemon was a bit too strong and ended up covering partially the cod puree (I felt the fava beans were there purely to add colour). We closed our dinner with the cannolo! Again, I was not very happy or satisfied. Inside it was indeed ricotta but it felt different from the sicilian ricotta (and lemon zest was added, so same problem as before since the ricotta’s taste was not that strong). About drinks, I had a red from Toscana and my friends a cocktail. Lastly, about the price... a bit expensive (for what I had), but average for London I guess. If the menu will change I would be glad to try again! Until then, I will go somewhere else."
"This restaurant is superior. Their pasta is exceptional, their atmosphere is charming, and the staff is very friendly. Would highly recommend! Be sure the make a booking!"
"Amazing fresh pasta and all the other elements required for an outstanding Italian dining experience. The burrata we has as an antipasti was mouthwatering, and the baba dessert left me speechless. Only minor complaint was that the wine pour was a bit on the stingy side, but frankly that's probably better for my health anyway!"
