"Visited Aya Wimbledon last night, and was unfortunately let down by the service. There was a slight misunderstanding when ordering the mixed grills so we ended up ordering more food to compensate. The front of house gentleman, didn’t seem to be very understanding of this and came across as quite rude and aggressive. The portion size for the Aya mixed grill is probably ideal for 1 person, which was not as we assumed taking the £19.95 price in to consideration. There is also a 10% service charge added on to the bill, which isn’t really made clear beforehand. When asked to be waived as we weren’t happy with the service, the front of house gentleman rudely asked us to not visit again and looked at a waiter next to him and said “remember these people for next time”. We definitely will not be visiting again as the attitude was quite hostile and unwelcoming. The food was actually decent and was served promptly, so it is rather disappointing that the service let our experience down."
