"Pulled pork was succulent and very tasty rather like a spit roast hog. Not too much BBQ sauce, a blessing for me as i do not like the stuff. The sides were extra special. Priced at £15 some would want more but this was ample for me, and definately cheaper than a chinese. The turkey dinner was good. Loved the sides. Would have been happy with these alone. The vinigarrette dressing for the lettuce was a lovely change to the french/italian/caesar dressing i normally use directly from a bottle. Have placed an order already for next Saturday."

"I have used Boxed Local several times in the past few weeks since lockdown. I am a big fan. I don't normally post these types of reviews but wanted to this time. The quality of the food is excellent, the variety of salads is a hidden bonus and the portions are large. We sometimes spread one individual box over two meals. I travel regularly to the south of the US and Boxed Local is as good as the BBQ I have eaten in Texas and Tennessee. I highly recommend it."

"This is the healthiest take out I’ve ever had & I know that it is prepared with love ❣️ The freshness of the sides is mind blowing but the star of the show has to be the slow cooked meat, which is always succulent & the different rubs/marinades just add to enhance the flavour of great quality produce. Delivery is great & if you want to heat anything up it comes with instructions - I’ve done both & either way it is delicious. One of the great things to come out of lockdown & if I could give it more than 5 ⭐️ I would."

"I tried something from every part of the menu here, and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Texan brisket BBQ, with smoked jalapeno relish, smoked sausage and chocolate brownie sides. A quick word of warning - if you fancy something cheap and last-minute, BoxedLocal aren't a good choice. You have to order a couple of days in advance. They have very limited delivery times and the food is delivered chilled. (You can reheat it, though I didn't need to.) However... It's obvious that a lot of love goes into this food. The pictures they post are exactly how my order looked. And all of it was delicious, especially the meat! The brisket was tender, juicy and full of flavour without being fatty. The veg was crisp and well-spiced. I can honestly say that was the tastiest sausage I've ever eaten. The relish went really well with what I'd ordered. Communication was great. Because of the way they deliver, it's like great service in a nice restaurant. You can call them and Richard is happy talk you through which sides & relishes go best with which main. (I should have quizzed him on what to drink!) Kaylie rang me on the day to confirm exactly when she'd arrive. On my doorstep, she took the time to talk me through the best way to serve my food. She also mentioned the brownies were vegan and gluten-free, which I wouldn't have guessed. They were moist and extremely chocolatey. So if you're looking for something cheap and cheerful this evening, try elsewhere. If you want a really nice restaurant meal without the hassle and expense – you should order from these guys. They'd also be perfect if you're planning a picnic. I've recommended BoxedLocal to my friends and will definitely be ordering again."
