"Busy, but relatively small restaurant with a surprising number of tables actually. Food and decor is more casual than intimate dining and it's good for small groups or couples. Service was pleasant but disappointingly slow despite appearing to have plenty of staff. We were seated by the bar area and after waiting over half an hour for someone to take our drinks order we resorted to calling over when 3 staff were there. Attentiveness 1/10 I'm afraid. Delivery of the drinks was really slow as well and this didn't make us feel great. When the food did come it was actually very enjoyable. The spicy wings were the table's choice for best starter. Tangy, spicy and very tasty. I had the flank steak and it was perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious with the Chimichurri sauce on the side. Two of our group had the signature burger and said it was tasty albeit my wife felt the marrow flavour was a bit strong for her."

"First time at Gorge and it was "gorge". Nice friendly service, and the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection. It didn't need a sauce but they have a range to choose from if that's how you like it. Good wine list too with mellow South American music in the background. Also the vegetable sides were delicious. Usually sides are an afterthought, but these were tasty and went well with the steak. They've done a good job here. PS: Suggested improvements - please provide toothpicks - after people's steak and you need another toilet. PPS: Thanks for the reply"

"Wanted to go here well before it finally opened, it took a while due to Covid. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal sat outside in the courtyard. The mushroom starter and homemade bread was amazing! I also really enjoyed the chicken espetinhos for my main. Loved the churrps trifle for dessert but have to admit it was a large portion and a bit dry. Could do with either being smaller or served with more sauce. Looking forward to coming back and having some brunch."

"The cocktails here were amazing, especially the espresso latini. However, there are limited food options on the menu. We ordered the steak platter for 2 which was pricey at £60, but none the less the flavours were tasty. If I was to really pick, the steak was a bit chewy and not tender enough. The portion size was perfect and service prompt from the staff. It was a relaxed atmosphere and all the waiters/waitresses were very friendly. I enjoyed our time at Gorge and recommend if you want a chilled vibe cocktail bar/restaurant."
