The Wilson Schoolhouse, built in 1930 as a two-room schoolhouse, served as an educational facility until 1998-1999. Threatened with demolition, community members worked to preserve it, leading to the establishment of the Old Wilson Schoolhouse Community Center as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
