Madison School Forest Campground
The Madison School Forest Campground, located at 1577 Fritz Road in Verona, Wisconsin, is a unique institution that offers a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience for students and the community. The campground is part of the Madison School Forest, which includes the Olson Oak Wood State Natural Area and the Jerome Jones Pine Plantation. Managed by the Wisconsin DNR State Natural Areas program, the School Forest is home to over 40 species of birds and nearly 300 species of vascular plants. The campground features a rustic camping area with a kitchen, nature center, shelter with fireplace, sleeping cabins, and restrooms with access for people with disabilities. There is a large field space for games or tent camping, as well as a fire pit for gatherings. The campground is available for rent for single overnight stays or multi-day overnights, as well as for day use.
