UWM School of Freshwater Sciences
The UWM School of Freshwater Sciences, located at 600 East Greenfield Avenue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the nation's only school dedicated to the study of freshwater ecosystems and resources. Konkel Park
Konkel Park, located at 5151 West Layton Avenue in Greenfield, Wisconsin, is a popular tourist attraction and park. Originally known as the "Greenfield Recreation Complex", the park was officially dedicated as Stanley J. Konkel Park in 1990 to honor Mr. Konkel's 34 years of service to the community on the Park and Recreation Board. The park features two official softball fields with lights, a shelter/concessions/restroom facility, a large playground area, and a "sand volleyball center" with four courts. In 1994, Milwaukee County deeded over 16 acres of adjacent land to the City, expanding the park to its current size.
