Wisconsin Hoofers, located at 800 Langdon Street in Madison, Wisconsin, is one of UW-Madison's oldest and largest student organizations with over 2,000 members. Since 1931, Hoofers has been dedicated to building a community through outdoor recreation. While primarily student-led, Wisconsin Union members can join any of the six clubs offered by Hoofers, creating a unique blend of students and community members enjoying the outdoors together. The Hoofer Mountaineering Club offers a range of climbing experiences, from conquering your first rock wall to challenging climbs across the country. The Hoofer Outing Club provides opportunities to explore Madison and embark on wilderness adventures, focusing on fostering outdoor leadership and skills. The Hoofer Riding Club offers horseback riding lessons for riders of all levels.
