Specializing in comprehensive eye care, Dr. Hattenhauer is dedicated to providing exceptional vision and optical services to the Medford community and beyond. With a career that spans decades, Dr. Hattenhauer has been at the forefront of ophthalmology, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care in vision health. Dr. Hattenhauer's journey in medicine began with a Bachelor of Science from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, in 1987. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1992. After completing a transitional year at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, he pursued an Ophthalmology Residency and a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology in Rochester, Minnesota. His expertise and passion for teaching led him to serve as an Assistant Professor at the Mayo Clinic before joining the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin in 1999.
