Established in 1950 by the Dunn County Historical Society, the museum showcases the rich history of the area from the mound builders of a thousand years ago to the present day communities of Dunn County. One of the highlights of the museum is Fulton's Workshop, which features the work of mechanical and forensic engineer Fulton Holtby. Visitors can explore Dunn County inventions, as well as participate in interactive maker spaces for all ages to learn and create. The museum also houses a bullet hole from a shot fired inside a restaurant at escaping bank robbers, adding to the intrigue and history of the area.
