Adrienne Johnson, PhD, is a clinical health psychologist and assistant professor at UW Health in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. She specializes in treating patients with medical conditions affecting their mental health, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Dr. Johnson uses cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy to help patients manage their emotions and live a valued life. In addition to patient care, she conducts research on smoking's impact on older adults' health and its contribution to neurological disorders like Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Johnson also focuses on health equity, particularly within the African American community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing sports.
