MEDC - Wisconsin (Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation)
MEDC - Wisconsin, located at 757 North Broadway in Milwaukee, is a finance institution that provides responsible and affordable funding to businesses in the Milwaukee 7 region. Since 1971, MEDC has been a key player in thousands of investment projects, generating over two billion dollars in new investment and creating thousands of new jobs. The institution focuses on job creation and retention, particularly in underserved neighborhoods, with close to half of its annual loan investments supporting minority-owned businesses and over a third funding women-owned companies. As a Community Development Financial Institution, MEDC offers creative, flexible, and relevant financing to help entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized businesses succeed. Working in economically distressed markets that are underserved by traditional financial institutions, MEDC is also a Community Development Entity, SBA Community Advantage Lender, EDA Economic Adjustment Assistance RLF Operator, and Community Development Block Grant Operator.
