"1st time camping up in the area....wanted to look for local place to eat dinner with our daughter. 1st place we went to had no seating for the 3 of us. Husband came across the Bar/Grill so we thought we'd try it. Service started out great....we ordered a couple apps (Pretzel bites with cheese, Spinach/Artichoke dip with homemade chips, and Homemade Chips with Cheese). Chips were extremely over cooked.... Our daughter wouldn't even touch them...and she's 8. She usually loves Chips/Cheese. Our daughter ordered chicken strips for dinner, I ordered Bacon Cheeseburger ($8.75 for just a single patty/no fries) and my husband had the Buffalo Chix wrap. Burger and wrap were mediocre. Our daughter said her Chix strips were ok. Server never came back to see how food was. The Server Assistant/Runner/Busser asked if everything was ok and when we told her the chips were way too overdone. They never offered to remake them or take off the bill. We had to ask bartender for another Kiddie Cocktail for our daughter. Definitely won't be back nor recommend. Very disappointed"
"Great place, fun atmosphere and good food! Staff was friendly and the customers/regulars were also great! There are plenty of games for kids and adults to play while waiting for food and despite it being pretty busy on a Friday evening our server was still attentive and smiling! We are always on the lookout for a new place that to go eat with our kids (age 4 - 15) and Lakeside is worth the drive for us!"
"Recently .bought a home locally. Went for fish fry Friday. We had the perch and walleye, both very good. Nice ambiance. Good size bar but mix of dining and bar customers. Owner very friendly and attentive. Picky but I did miss the slice of raw onion on the rye bread I have become accustomed to up North!! Will go back again. My husband had the Lasagna and said it was very good."
