Erma Byrd Higher Education Center
The Erma Byrd Higher Education Center, located at 300 University Drive in Beaver, West Virginia, is a collaborative higher education campus offering classes and student services from Bluefield State College, Concord University, and Marshall University. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Center serves as a hub for innovation, economic development, and expanding access to higher education opportunities in southern West Virginia. Managed by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, the Erma Byrd Center is part of the larger Erma Byrd Higher Education Complex, which includes multiple facilities and degree programs from various institutions. Students attending the celebration were eligible to apply for scholarships totaling over $30,000, and a time capsule was buried to be opened on the Center's 20th anniversary.
