The MUFSC Crime Scene House, located at 1524 5th Avenue in Huntington, West Virginia, is a state-of-the-art facility acquired by Marshall University for the purpose of providing hands-on forensics education and training. This large home has been reconditioned to simulate a real crime scene, offering students and trainees the opportunity to experience the process of crime scene investigation first-hand. The facility, conveniently located just off campus, features three stories and a large unfinished basement. Equipped with closed circuit audio and video equipment, instructors are able to monitor and critique students' work in real-time. The property also includes a garage with a two-bedroom apartment, a pond and gazebo, and a large side yard for conducting grid searches and large mock crime scenes.
