Green's Feed & Seed
Green's Feed & Seed is a historic institution located at 314 Piedmont Road in Charleston, West Virginia, United States. Originally founded by Mr. Earl Green in 1949 as a dealer for Altman's Feed Company, the store has a long-standing history in the community. After Altman's went out of business, Earl and his wife Shirley established Green's Feed and Seed on Washington Street in 1963, before relocating to its current location in 1977. The store, which now spans 15,000 square feet, offers a wide range of products including hardware, home goods, and seeds. In 1998, Green's Feed & Seed was sold to Southern States before being bought back by Earl in 2001. Earl, his son Mike, and grandson Mike Jr. continued to run the business until October 2021 when they decided to retire.
