The WVWC Wellness Center, located in Buckhannon, West Virginia, is a gym and health facility dedicated to promoting wellness and fitness among students. Work-study students are provided with a weekly schedule and are expected to attend all shifts throughout the semester, with the opportunity to sub or switch shifts with fellow staff. Hours range from 4-8 per week, depending on availability and seniority. To apply for employment at the Wellness Center, students must be eligible for Federal Work Study and go through an interview process. Front desk staff must demonstrate excellent customer service and attentiveness. The Wellness Center only hires students with Federal Work Study, except for certified group exercise instructors.
