Stem education for young children in Anacortes, Washington

The Boys & Girls Club of Skagit County: Anacortes Discovery Center is a new, innovative preschool located at 1017 26th Street in Anacortes, Washington. In partnership with the Anacortes Family Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, and Island Health, this preschool is specifically designed for children aged 3 years old through their first day of Kindergarten. The focus is on providing a safe, fun, and positive environment for young learners to build self-esteem, confidence, and personal achievement while promoting respect for others. The Boys & Girls Club of Skagit County has no cap on the number of families eligible for WCCC/DCYF Childcare Subsidies, making it accessible to more families in the community. The curriculum, based on the Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies, aims to foster a love of learning through individualized assessments and activities that accelerate developmental standards.
