"Had so many problems with front office. Supposedly they pre authorized for a crown and told me it wasn't going to be covered at all. I spoke directly to my insurance and have 100% coverage. Previously had requested a certain hygienist but was placed with a temp. When I would call with a question the front office would not respond. Although the dentist was fine I decided I had enough of the front office mistakes."

"This practice used to be great under the former owner, Dr. Cole, but was sold in late 2022. The new owner is laudably creative in finding things to bill -- unnecessary procedures, and novel but more expensive line items for the same old procedures. The provider also lost some of the great dental hygienists they had before the sale, and the replacements are less engaged and caring. I applaud Dr. Skyler's creativity and ambition for putting more money in his own pocket, but find the patient experience somewhat lacking."

"Dr. Skylar Schubel is a great dentist. He’s caring, competent, meticulous and very personable. His assistant is very experienced and competent and also demonstrates great care. I’m 68 and have had dentists since I was 7 years old. I am pleased to say Dr. Schubel and staff are A number 1 in my experience . The office’s access to on site parking and transit services is also a plus. If you enjoy the intimacy that a small dental practice can provide, Ballard Dental Arts is for you."

"I’m fairly new to Seattle. It had been a while since I had been to a dentist for various reasons, so I was nervous about being seen and not sure what to expect. To my surprise from the ease of scheduling to the nice staff, and good service it was much better than I expected. Dr. Sky was great and helped explain everything to me, was not pushy in recommending any particular treatments, and the staff was transparent and helpful in identifying any costs I would have to cover. Honestly, I’m super thankful that Dr. Sky and the staff did not shame me for going a long time without seeing a dentist. I felt comfortable throughout my experience and definitely will be going back!"
