"I’m dog, cat, and house sitting nearby. I don’t live in the Tacoma area, so I’m unfamiliar with the University Place neighborhood. The beautiful and fun to care for Rottweiler that I’m sitting has been a very good girl, so I wanted to jazz up her kibble meals with some wet food. Regardless of the location, Mud Bay is ALWAYS trustworthy, so I searched for the nearest store and UP popped up. Only problem, they close at 7:30pm and it’s already 7:15. Waze GPS showed that I’d arrive two minutes before closing. So I loaded the said good girl in my car and disembarked post haste. I refuse to be the last one in the store, holding staff up from their closing duties, so I called ahead. Alex answered my call, and she was friendly, empathetic, and incredibly helpful overall. I pulled up about 90 seconds to close. Walking in, I was greeted by the three people in the store, presumably all friendly employees. Alex had two cans of wild salmon dog food ready to go in a bag, along with a treat of course. The entire staff was awesome, and made the purchase that I rushed easy. Great store, wonderful people, remarkable company. Thank you!"

"I'm surprised I haven't reviewed Mud Bay before, considering I've loved my experiences from the very first time and all one hundred since. New to being a pet owner they were very helpful with information and pamphlets on numerous topics. They were more than generous with dog food samples to help me find the right one and even offered full refund on opened bags of food if my pet wasn't happy. With my needs dialed in I have the food I want special ordered in larger bags to save money. It takes about 5 days and they text me. I always ask for free treats at every visit and snag some snack or toys occasionally. I have never been disappointed with a purchase. 5 stars!"

"This is the only place to go to get your pet's needs, no kidding. These people are serious about the products they sell, they Know their products and all products are thoroughly researched. Mud Bay does all the work for you! If you researched the total garbage that makes up mainstream pet food and where it's sourced you would first be appalled and horrified and secondly would throw up in revulsion. This company sells clean food, treats, supplements and toys. You must experience this store, it is not your typical pet store. Personally, my cat Ramsey has protein allergies so he eats Instincts rabbit based food. They also carry a brand called Fromm which is a wonderful brand to try. Also, for bloat, icky poo-poos and/or diarrhea try Optagest powder supplement for a happy gut and butt. This product works so incredibly well. Ramsey likes his non-toxic boiled wool babies, his absolute favs!!! Also he loves his From the Field Shelby mouse and their twirly Freddy's feather wand. No toxic made in China plastic or small parts in these locally sourced toys!! Ramsey gives Mud Bay 5 Stars. Stop over and check this place out, your furry baby(babies) will thank you!"
