Whittier Park
Whittier Park, located at 921 Contra Costa Avenue in Tacoma, Washington, is operated by the City of Fircrest Parks and Recreation Department. This 27.1-acre park offers a variety of active and passive recreational opportunities for the community to enjoy. Currently, the park's athletic fields are undergoing a much-needed renovation to improve the natural grass surface and field lighting. Thanks to a grant award of $317,030 from the Washington Recreation and Conservation Office, this project is now possible. While the south end of the park will be fenced off for approximately six months during construction, the end result will contribute to making Fircrest Park an even better place for play, recreation, and sports. For more information or questions, contact Parks & Recreation Director Jeff Grover at 253-564-8177. Your feedback is always welcome as we work to enhance the park for everyone to enjoy.
