Providence Cardiology Associates - Olympia

"As I write this, I've been on hold for 51 minutes to speak to someone about refilling my mother's prescription. Her MyChart has incorrect info, and is unusable. She needs a doctor to send in a prescription for her heart medication. She received a letter from her doctor stating that she needs an appointment first, before the prescription can be refilled. Pharmacist states that this medication is important, and she should visit her doctor before her prescription runs out. After waiting for an extended period of time on the phone a few days ago, the representative scheduled her 4 months into the future--the next available appointment--and said they'll notify the doctor's team of her prescription. Mom has received another notice that her prescription will not be refilled until she sees the doctor. So, her important heart medication will potentially stop, which could cause adverse health issues for my mom, because of the inefficient bureaucracy at Providence Cardiology. Hopefully when someone answers this phone, I can get this corrected. Waiting..."

"Called in a refill on Friday. No response by Wednesday, called Dr directly and told them I was entirely out of pills. They denied the pharmacy refill request. I called again Thursday they told me it wpuld be 72 hours until they filled my RX but that i was listed as "high priority". I asked what i was supposed to do without medication, the person i talked to didnt seem to care and in fact the person I talked to seemed rather annoyed at my even asking. It is now Saturday, over a week after I called my pharmacy to refill my prescription l. I am massively tachycardic and have no way to control it. No idea when I'll actually get my RX. Hopefully I don't have a cardiac event in the meantime. Edit: 2 months later and once again I have no prescription. This time I called my refill in 5 days before I needed it.. 2 days later I emailed the clinic and they told me they received my request. And yet it is now Saturday and I have no prescription or pills left. Don't come here this place is a joke."

"Awful...no notes in the office visit papers for you to look at and refer to. Rude nurses (CMA known as Tic)...and sloppy communucation...tried several times each day for days to talk to someone, always on hold, no one calls back. Adverse reaction to the surgery and no communication about bloodthinners. Told to come to office 2 weeks post op, had to come in 5days post op for check up and had a heck of a time getting an appointment. Loads of messages sent, questions about INR, sent pictures of massive bruising/swelling..not one reply except for *Tic* saying it was a Boston ICD. Unacceptable treatment."

"Their doctors are good. Their staff is horrible. The older woman at the reception desk in the actual cardiology waiting room (not registration) is an awful human being. He is so mean and ugly inside. She's rude, condescending, has no intelligence or tact and no skills when it comes to patient care. If you want a friendly office go somewhere else. I have been treated so poorly there. The nurses have no education, I am a nurse and I don't trust them at all. They lie straight to your face. This group is the upitomy of unprofessional, uninterested in helping patients and just horrific all because of the receptionist and nurses. It's quite sad because the doctors are friendly. They're just surrounded by incompetence."

"My Mom has had the worst time getting prescriptions refilled. Multiple calls to the office, Urgent fax from pharmacist, calls from family did not get the refill prescription approved. This has happened more than once. Staff is nice but did not produce results. This has caused considerable stress and jeopardized health!"
