Kitsap History Museum
The Kitsap History Museum, located at 280 4th Street in Bremerton, Washington, is a museum, store, and tourist attraction all in one. The Kitsap County Historical Society & Museum hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the upcoming Butterfly Art event on April 13th. This event will allow little artists to create paper butterfly art and spread joy. In partnership with the Kitsap Children's Museum, the event will feature kids activities with a Spring Forward theme. The Community Case at the museum is currently showcasing a sculpture by local artist Shirley Sakatani, which recently won an award at the Collective Visions Gallery Art Competition. The museum is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 4pm, and on Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm. Housed in a historic 1950s art deco building that was once the Seattle First National Bank, the Kitsap History Museum offers a unique look into the history of the region.
